Ingredients
1/2
cup
Raw rice
2
cup
Milk
cup
Water
to cook rice
3/4
cup
jaggery
adjust according to your taste

cashews

Instructions
In a pan, melt jiggery with a little water.
Filter the impurities and boil for two minutes.
Soak saffron in 2 tablespoons of warm milk.
Soak rice in 1/2 cup water for 10 minutes.
Add 1 & 1/2 cup of milk to the rice and cook in a pressure cooker for 7 to 8 whistles. Then cook under low flame for 10 minutes.
Mash the rice to a paste with a ladle.
Add the saffron milk and melted jaggery to the rice and mix well.
Fry the cashews in ghee and add this to the rice as well.
When the rice mix cools, add 1/4 of cooled milk and mix.
Recipe Notes
You can add a pinch of cardamom powder for flavour.
