South Indian Chicken Curry
Andhra chicken curry, as the name says, is native to Andhra Pradesh of India. The non-vegetarian dish is a unique twist to chicken curry in Andhra style cooking. If you want to try something different with chicken, then this recipe is for you.

For Paste:

  1. Rise chicken pieces well.
  2. Marinate with salt, 1/2 Teaspoon Red chilli powder,turmeric, and ginger garlic paste.
  3. Keep for 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare paste by grinding the ingredients mentioned in Paste .
  5. Use very less water to make smooth paste.
  6. Remove the paste in a bowl and add 1 Teaspoon red chilli powder into paste and mix well with spoon.
  7. Tempering Tomatoes added in the Tempering
  8. Now heat a heavy bottom pot, add oil .
  9. Once the oil heats up, reduce the heat to medium and add cumin and mustard. Cover.
  10. Once mustard seeds splutter, add chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves and saute till onions become transparent.
  11. Add tomatoes and saute for a minute.
  12. Add marinated chicken , ground paste, cover and cook on medium high heat .
  13. Check in between with toothpick if done.
  14. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on the chicken.
  15. Once the chicken is fully cooked, add garam masala and salt to taste. Mix , simmer for 2 more minutes.
  16. Switch off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
  17. Serve this sizzling Easy Andhra Chicken Curry with naan or rice.
