Make a dough using 1 cup all-purpose flour, 50 gm of solid butter and a pinch of salt, and one egg. Add cold water as required
Flatten the dough with a rolling pin and fold it. Repeat step two more times.
Place this sheet of dough on a pie pan, scrape off the extras & refrigerate for a while.
Cut 3 peeled apples into slices, marinate with 3 tbsp soft white butter, 4 tbsp sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon powder, ¼ tsp nutmeg powder and ½ tsp lemon juice.
Layer the apple slices in the tart pan.
Put small dollops of the butter and spice mixture on the apple. Sprinkle sugar and place in the oven at 175 degrees to slow cook the pie for 45-50 minutes.
Remove and let it cool at room temperature for a while.
Garnish with apple juliennes and fresh mint leaves. Sprinkle castor sugar on the top.
