of macaroni

of powdered mustard

Bay Leaf

of shredded cheese

For topping

of bread crumbs
Instructions
For the topping
Melt the butter in a pan and add the bread crumbs
For the macaroni
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
In a large pot, cook the pasta in salted water
In a separate pan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour and mustard
Slowly add the milk and keep whisking
Add onion, bayleaf and paprika
Cook on low heat for 10 minutes
Add the beaten egg
Stir in 3/4 of the cheese and season with salt and pepper
Remove from heat and pour the macaroni into a casserole
Top it with the remaining cheese
Add the bread crumb mixture on top
Bake for 30 minutes
Remove from the oven and serve
