Bread Gulab Jamoon Recipe
Ingredients
For The Gulab Jamoon Rounds

½ Cup Milk
Few Strands Saffron

½Rose essence

oil for frying
For the Syrup
¾ Cup Sugar
¾ Cup Water
saffron strands

Pinch Cardamom powder

Instructions
Make the Syrup first.
Set a deep saucepan on the stove with the water.
Turn the heat on.
Add the sugar.
Allow the sugar to melt completely.
Lower the heat to simmer.
Add the saffron strands.
Add the cardamom powder.
Allow this syrup to get to a golden colour.
Turn off the heat.
Add the spoon of milk.
For The Gulab Jamoon Rounds
Soak the bread in Milk and squeeze out the excess.
Transfer to a mixing bowl.
Add the milk powder.
Add the cardamom powder.
Add the saffron strings.
Add the baking powder.
Add the rose essence.
Now blitz all this in a food processor.
Make the dough into small balls.
Fry in oil to a dark gold.
Soak it in the prepared syrup
Allow three hours to soak in the syrup
It is ready to serve.
Recipe Notes
The 1 teaspoon milk added to the syrup will prevent the syrup from crystallizing. Enjoy!
