Instructions
Marinating the chicken
  1. 1. Put the red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and curd together in a bowl. This will be your marinade.
  2. 2. Put the boneless chicken into the bowl and mix well. Make sure that the marinade has completely caught on to all of the chicken.
  3. 3. Place the marinated chicken in the refrigerator and leave it overnight.
  4. 4. Roast the marinated chicken in a tandoor or an oven at medium temperature for 5 to 10 minutes. The chicken should be three-fourth done.
  5. 5. If you do not own an oven, sautee the marinated chicken till it is three-fourth done.
Preparation of chicken gravy
  1. 1. Heat the butter in a pan
  2. 2. Once heated, add the black cumin seeds, sugar, tomato puree, red chilli powder and salt. Stir well.
  3. 3. Add the previously prepared chicken, butter, fresh cream, the crushed fenugreen leaves and the sliced green chillies.
  4. 4. Let the mixture boil until the chicken is cooked.
  5. The butter chicken is done! Serve it either rice or naan(Indian Bread).
