Cooking Cabbage
Taste a medley of cabbage and dal with this recipe!
Ingredients

of cabbage
finely chopped

yellow moong dal

Scraped Coconut

urad dal

Red Chilly

tsp
Cumin seeds

tsp
Turmeric powder
salt to taste
For tempering
1
tsp
coconut oil
1/2
tsp
Mustard seeds
a few curry leaves
Instructions
In a pressure cooker, cook the dal until it is soft and then mash it lightly with the back of a spoon.
In two cups of water cook the cabbage with a little salt and the turmeric powder.
Roast the urad dal and red chilies in a little oil.
Grind the roasted dal, red chillies, cumin seeds and coconut flakes together into a smooth paste.
Mix the cooked dal into the cabbage and boil the mixture.
Stir in the paste and add a cup of water to the mixture.
Fry the mustard seeds and curry leaves in the coconut oil.
Once the curry begins to boil, take it off the stove, and add the mustard seeds and curry leaves to it as garnish.
