Instructions
Begin making the chocolate cake by putting the oven on preheat at a temperature of 350°F.
Grease the baking dish with butter and dust a little cocoa powder.
Now on low heat, melt some butter and put in the chocolate stirring it in.
Add the cocoa powder and stir it in as well.
Keep stirring till you get a smooth mixture and then keep aside from the heat.
While the chocolate mixture cools, take the eggs and vanilla in a mixing bowl and whisk them together.
Add sugar and whisk that in as well till well combined.
Little by little add the buttermilk and whisk that in and lastly whisk in the chocolate mixture.
Whisk till the entire mixture is smooth.
Now using a sieve, add the baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Whisk these dry ingredients as well till you’re back to a smoother yet thicker consistency.
Now pour the batter into the baking dish and put it in the oven for about half an hour to 40 minutes till done.
Meanwhile make the frosting by putting the cream on heat till it simmers.
Add chocolate, salt and vanilla and mix it in.
Once the chocolate melts, add in the dulce de leche and mix.
Let the mixture cool down first on the shelf and then in the refrigerator.
Once the cake is ready and cooled down remove the frosting from the refrigerator and spread all over the cake using a spatula.
