Ingredients

fettuccine

olive oil

thinly sliced shallots

cloves
minced garlic

grated Parmesan

finely chopped parsley
Instructions
Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat and once melted, add the flour and whisk.
Lower the heat to minimum and add the cloves and nutmeg.
Add milk after two minutes of cooking, stir and bring it to simmer.
Cook for another 3 minutes and add salt and pepper and keep the sauce aside.
Boil water for the fettuccine, add salt along with the pasta and cook till al dente.
In a large pan over a medium flame, heat olive oil and add the shallots and garlic and cook till they turn soft.
Add the sauce and a cup of pasta water.
Once the pasta is al dente, add to the pan and toss.
Add the cheese along with salt and pepper, stir and serve.
