Ingredients
For frying the chicken

For Gravy

small stick cinnamon

sprig Curry leaves

large onion
thinly sliced

grenn chilies
slit

bell pepper

soy sauce

tbsp
green chili sauce

Vinegar

large tomato
cubed

cornstarch mixed in water

freshly ground

chopped spring onions
salt to taste
Instructions
Take all the ingredients given for frying the chicken – except oil – in a bowl. Mix well and let the chicken cubes marinate for 10 minutes.
Now heat oil in a kadai.
Add in the chicken and fry in the oil for 15 minutes till they are golden brown and cooked completely. Remove to a bowl.
Now in the remaining oil add fennel and cinnamon stick and sauté for a minute.
Add in ginger, garlic, curry leaves, onions, green chillies and fry for a minute.
Now add in capsicum, salt, sugar, soy sauce, green chilli sauce, vinegar and mix well.
Add in tomatoes and cook for a minute.
Then add the water and bring to a boil.
Now add in cooked chicken pieces, cornstarch slurry, pepper and toss well. Simmer for 5 minutes and increase the heat and let the gravy thicken.
Garnish with spring onions and serve with rice.
