Creme Filled Hearts
Delicious cookies filled with marshmallow creme.
Ingredients
1 1/4
cups
butter
softened
2
cups
sugar
2
Large Eggs
2
tsp
vanilla extract
2
cups
all purpose flour
3/4
cup
baking cocoa
1
tsp
Salt
7
ounces
Marshmallow Creme
Instructions
Whisk the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Whisk in the eggs and vanilla.
Whisk the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt together.
Gently stir this mixture into the butter, egg, sugar and vanilla mixture until a soft dough forms.
Refrigerate this dough for an hour.
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
Shape tablespoons of the dough into small balls and bake for 8 minutes.
Using a heart shaped cookies cutter, cut a heart shaped into half of the cookies, scooping out a hollow in that shape.
Allow the cookies to cool and spoon the marshmallow crème into the heart shaped hollows in the cookies.
Serve immediately.
