Instructions
Heat the oil for frying.
Fry the poha in two parts and drain excess oil.
Split cashews in halves and fry them as well.
Next fry the almonds and ground nuts.
Shallow fry the coconut in a pan and drain excess oil from all the fried ingredients.
Let the fried ingredients cool down and then put them in a mixing bowl.
Heat oil in a tempering pan and fry the black pepper, cumin seeds and asafoetida till they release their aromas.
Add black salt, regular salt, amchur, red chilli powder and mix in with the tempering.
Cool down the tempering and the grind to make a powder.
Mix the powder with the fried ingredients till well combined and then store the namkeen in an air-tight jar till later use.
