A big bowl of this delicious corn flakes chivda will make the perfect accompaniment to a glass of hot chai!

Ingredients

dried cornflakes

Peanuts
1/3

Cashew nuts

red chili powder

Turmeric powder

for deep frying
Instructions
Heat the oil until moderately hot in a deep dish.
Immerse one third of the cup of corn flakes into the hot oil.
Fry the cornflakes until they become crisp and golden.
Remove the cornflakes from the oil using a ladle and sieve out the extra oil.
Lay the cornflakes on a paper towel to allow excess oil to seep out.
Fry the rest of the cornflakes and lay them out to dry in the same way.
Separately, deep fry the peanuts, cashew nuts, raisins and curry leaves, resting them on paper towels after frying to seep out excess oil.
Once everything is fried, mix the peanuts, cashew nuts, raisins, curry leaves and corn flakes together in a bowl.
Mix in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, sugar and salt and stir well.
Allow the chivda to cool and then enjoy!
