Ingredients
2 9-inch deep pie crusts
1 lb lump crab meat *
4 eggs
2 tbsp flour
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup whole milk
8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 tbsp finely chopped green pepper
For the seafood seasoning
2 tablespoons celery salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pinch dry mustard
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cardamom
1 pinch ground allspice
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch ground ginger
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350º. Cover the baking dish with a butter spray and par bake your crust for 3 minutes.
Combine eggs, flour, mayonnaise, and milk and mix well. Add remainder of the ingredients (except crab meat) and mix well.
Combine the ingredients for the seafood seasoning and sprinkle on top of crab pie.
Fold in crab meat and try not to separate the lumps of crab meat too much. Pour into 2 separate piecrusts, sprinkle with additional Old Bay Seasoning.
Pour the mix into the par-baked piecrust. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
Serve hot.
Recipe Notes
If you can find Old Bay seasoning then you can replace the ‘seafood seasoning’ with that.
