Easter Dinner is Served
Flavourful pasta with succulent Turkey Sausage and did we mention the “Cream” it’ll bring to your Easter dinner?
Ingredients

oz
penne pasta cooked and drained
reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water for the pasta sauce

Tbsp. olive oil

lb
Italian turkey sausage links
crumbled

tsp
paprika powder

sun dried tomatoesoil
drained and sliced, 1/2 cup

cloves
garlic
minced
1/2
cup
low sodium chicken broth
1
bunch kale
thick ribs removed, chopped, 8 oz
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

tbsp. butter

Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 3/4
cup
Milk
1/4
cup
heavy cream
1/3
cup
finely shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add sausage and paprika cook, stirring occasionally until golden brown and cooked.
Add in sun dried tomatoes and garlic and saute.
Add in chicken broth and scrape bottom of pan.
Add kale, cook and toss occasionally until wilted and tender, about 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
While kale is cooking, in another saucepan melt butter over medium heat.
Add flour and cook stirring constantly for around 1 minute.
While whisking slowly pour in milk and whisk vigorously to smooth lumps.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook until mixture begins to thicken.
Remove from heat, stir in cream and parmesan cheese.
Pour milk mixture into sausage mixture.
Add drained pasta and toss to evenly coat.
Stir in 1/2 cup reserved pasta water. Serve warm.
