These poisonous looking black apples are sweet and delicious!

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease it with butter.
  2. Over low heat, mix the sugar, water, corn syrup and food colouring together.
  3. Turn the flame up to high and boil the mixture.
  4. Stick a candy thermometer into the mixture until the temperature reaches 300 degrees.
  5. While waiting for the candy to boil, skewer the apples halfway with wooden sticks.
  6. Once the candy reaches 300 degrees, remove it from the heat and quickly stick the apples into it.
  7. Put the apples onto the baking sheet and allow them to completely cool.
  8. Enjoy!
