Instructions
  1. Soak the chopped drumstick pieces in water for around 10 minutes to get rid of the bitterness.
  2. Drain the water.
  3. Cook drumsticks in water with pinch of salt for around 10 minutes. Discard water and keep it aside.
  4. In a pan, heat oil.
  5. Now add mustard seeds, curry leaves, allow them to splutter.
  6. Add asafetida, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and salt. Fry for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  7. Finally add the cooked drumsticks to this and fry for another 5 minutes. Add a teaspoon or two more water to evenly coat the drumsticks with the spices.
  8. Serve hot.
