Garlic-tastic
Delicious, soft crescent rolls that are lighter than air.
Instructions
  1. Heat 1/4 cup of milk mixed with sugar to about 100 degrees.
  2. Add yeast, cover with a wet cloth and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, crush garlic and mix with shortening and set aside.
  4. Mix dry ingredients to make the dough.
  5. Combine yeast, melted shortening and 2 tbsp of milk.
  6. Mix ingredients for 5 minutes to help activate gum.
  7. Lightly grease a sheet of parchment paper.
  8. With greased hands, gently roll out dough to form a rectangle (approximately 14×18 inches) Evenly spread topping along the entire dough.
  9. Divide the dough in half (length wise) using a dough cutter and cut in half again.
  10. Slice the extra long rectangle into triangles.
  11. Gently roll each triangle starting from the largest end.
  12. If dough breaks, simple press together with a little water.
  13. Cover with a wet cloth and allow to rest about 10 minutes before baking.
  14. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.
  15. Serve warm.
