Ingredients
Basmati rice/any rice – 1 cup
cup
Coriander leaves/kothamalli ilai – 1tightly packed and a handful
cup
Onion -1chopped
inch
Ginger – 1piece
Green chilli – 2-3
salt as required
For the seasoning
Oil – 1 Tbsp
Cumin seeds/Jeera – 1 tsp
Instructions
Cook the rice and set aside.
Wash and grind the coriander along with ginger and green chillies and keep the paste aside.
Heat a pan with oil and add cumin seeds. When the seeds begin to splutter, add onions and fry until the onions turn translucent.
Add the ground paste and salt as required and saute until the oil separates.
Mix the fried paste with rice and serve hot.
