  1. Trim the edges and chop the cluster beans finely.
  2. Rinse it well and boil it with enough water for the vegetable to get cooked.
  3. Once the beans turn soft, set them aside.
  4. Now take both the dals and rinse them well and soak in water for an hour at least.
  5. Drain the water and grind the dals along with red chilies to a coarse mixture. Steam it for 5-7mins.
  6. Once done cool down and then crumble it with your hands, set aside. Now heat oil in a wok and add the items listed under ‘to temper’. Once they crackle, add the tempering to the dal mix.
  7. Sauté till golden brown then add the cooked cluster beans and mix well.
  8. Add required salt.
  9. Cook for 3mins until the dal mixture blends well with the vegetables.
  10. Switch off the stove and serve.
