Cherry Chimichanga Recipe
A sweet treat to finish off a Mexican meal.
Ingredients

cans cherry pie filling
2
oranges
zested
6 12
inches
flour tortillas
slivered almonds
Oil
powdered sugar
Instructions
Set aside one cup of cherry pie filling.
Chop the orange rind into small pieces and mix it with the remaining cherry pie filling.
Spoon this mixture into the center of the tortillas.
Sprinkle the almond slivers over the pie filing.
Join the opposite sides of the tortillas and seal.
Heat an inch of oil and deep fry the chimichangas until golden brown.
Take out of the pan and place on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
Sift the sugar on top of each chimichanga and serve.
