butter

cup
sugar

cup
plain flour
4
tsp
baking powder
1/2
cup
Milk
1/2
tsp
Almond essence
1
tbsp
lemon zest
4
egg whites
Instructions
Set the oven for preheating at 160 degree C.
Using a hand mixer, whisk the butter into a creamy texture.
Now incorporate flour and baking powder and lastly mix in the milk.
At the end whisk in the egg whites and lemon zest.
Keep whisking till you get a frothy mixer.
Pour the batter into a cake mould and bake for 20 minutes or till done.
Serve with a sprinkle of icing sugar on top.
