Chocolate Cake Recipe
A dense, moist chocolate cake.
Ingredients

ounces
good quality semisweet chocolate
1 1/2
sticks unsalted butter
1
cup
+ 2 tbsp sugar
1/4
cup
all purpose flour
6
eggs separated
yolks beaten
For the frosting
8
ounces
semisweet chocolate
8
ounces
heavy cream
Instructions
Preheat and oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the chocolate and add the butter.
Stir until well combined.
Stir in the sugar, flour and egg yolks.
Whisk the egg whites until stiff and then mix into the chocolate.
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
Bake for 36 minutes.
Take out of the oven and allow it to cool.
While the cake cools, melt the chocolate for the frosting and mix with the cream.
Smooth the frosting over the cake with a spatula.
