Mawa misri or mawa mishri is a traditional Rajasthani dessert made with thickened milk, condensed milk and misri.

  1. Take a pan and grease it with ghee. Pour milk into the pan and boil.
  2. When the quantity of milk reduces to half the original, add condensed milk.
  3. Stir well to prevent milk from sticking in the pan.
  4. Boil until it reduces to quarter the original. Now, add sugar, almonds and cardamom.
  5. Cook for another five minutes. Take off the fire.
  6. Allow it to cool and add crystallized sugar lumps. Mix properly.
  7. Refrigerate for an hour. Garnish with silver leaf before serving.
