Sabudana vade also called ‘sago vade’ is a traditional deep fried snack from Maharashtra. The light and crisp sabudana vada is not only fun to eat but also a preferred fasting food during Navaratiri.
Ingredients
Sago – 100 gms
Potato – 80gms
Roasted peanuts – 2tbsp
Coriander Leaves – 1tbsp
Roasted Cumin seed Powder – 0.5 tsp
Green Chillies – 2nos
Salt – 1tsp
Sugar – 1tsp
Oil – 0.5 lts
Instructions
Sago to be soaked for three hours.
Potatoes to be boiled,peeled and mashed.
Roasted peanuts to be pulsed in a mixer.
Finely chopped coriander and green chillies.
Mix all ingredients together. Shape into balls, about the size of a large lemon and flatten them slightly.
Deep fry them in hot oil. Serve hot!
