Ingredients

Elavan
Ash gourd

thick curd
sour

Grated coconut

A pinch of turmeric powder

Instructions
Clean and dice the ash gourd into big cubes.
Add these to a vessel with 1.5 cups of water
Add turmeric powder and salt and boil them until cooked.
In a blender, add coconut and green chillies and some curd. Blend until it is paste.
Now add this to the ashgourd.
Stir very well.
Take the sour curd in a bowl and whisk well.
Add to the mixture.
Let it be simmer until the froth comes off. Make sure the flame is on low.
In a pan, add some oil.
Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds, red chilies and methi seeds. Add to the mixture. Mix well and serve.
