For the cake

For the frosting

cream cheese

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Grease two 8-inch cake pans with cooking spray, line with parchment paper and lightly grease the paper as well.
Combine unsalted butter, granulated sugar and cream on a medium speed for 5 minutes in a mixer with paddle attachment.
Once the mix doubles up and is light and fluffy, lower the mixer speed and and add the eggs one by one.
Mix the vegetable oil and vanilla extract in another bowl and add to the mixer.
Once incorporated, turn off the mixer.
Whisk cake flour, baking powder, vanilla bean powder, kosher salt in a mixing bowl.
Start the mixer on low speed and add the flour mixture to the egg mixture in three addition.
Alter between adding 1 cup milk to the mixer twice so you’re starting and ending with the flour mix being added.
Once incorporated, turn off the mixer.
In the smooth batter, fold in 2/3 cups of sprinkles using a spatula.
Put half batter in each cake pan and add the 1 tbsp sprinkles on each cake.
Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes and check with a toothpick if the center is cooked.
Transfer the cakes onto a wire rack and cool for about 15 minutes.
The cakes now need be removed from the pans and cooled completely.
Using the same mixer, combine cream cheese and vanilla extract on a low speed.
Increasing the speed to high, add unsalted butter and incorporate that as well.
On a low speed, add unsweetened natural cocoa powder and light corn syrup.
Add confectioners’ sugar and malt powder till the mixture till the mixture is smooth.
Now add the milk one tablespoon at a time till its incorporated.
Put the mixer on high speed for a minute till the frosting is light and fluffy.
Frost the cake once it’s cooled down completely and serve.
