Ingredients

green papaya
peeled and chopped
1
onion
sliced

garlic pods
1
tsp
Cumin seeds
Curry Leaves
Mustard seeds for tempering

Grated coconut

tsp
Turmeric powder

tsp
chilly powder
1
tbsp
Oil
Instructions
Put the papaya pieces in a little water and mix in the turmeric and salt.
Pressure cook this for three whistles.
Mix the coconut, garlic and cumin together and grind into a coarse paste.
In the oil, fry the mustard seeds until they splutter.
Add a few curry leaves and fry for half a minute.
Add the onion and sauté for a minute.
Stir in the chilly powder and the cooked papaya pieces.
Stir in the ground paste and cook the thoran until all the water is absorbed.
Serve!
