Simply Lentilicious
This tasty dal paste goes well with steamed rice and ghee.
Ingredients
1/4
cup
Tur dal
1/4
cup
Bengal gram
1/2
tsp
Whole black pepper
5
Red chilies
roughly chopped
2
tbsp
Grated coconut
pinch
aof Hing
1
tsp
Oil
salt as required
Instructions
Fry the red chilies and hing.
Keep the red chilies and hing aside.
In the same pan, sauté the tur dal, Bengal gram and sauté on a medium flame.
Add the grated coconut and sauté for a few seconds.
Remove the mixture from the flame.
Add a little salt to the mixture and two to three tablespoons of water and grind to a paste.
Stir in the red chilies.
Serve!
