Instructions
Preheat the oven at 350°F.
Grease the cake tins with butter and sprinkle flour on them.
Add flour, baking powder, salt and lemon zest a mixing bowl and whisk.
In another bowl, beat the butter till it turns light in colour and smooth.
Whisk on medium speed and add sugar portion by portion till the mixture is light and fluffy and all the sugar is dissolved.
Then add eggs, one at a time and keep mixing till the yellow colour of the yolk is gone.
Alternate between adding the flour mixture and the milk.
Mix it all till well combined and once done, pour the batter into greased tins.
Smooth the top and bake the cake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes or till the toothpick comes out clean from the center.
Cool the cake for 10 minutes before taking it out of the pan.
