Ingredients

Rice

yellow moong

ground black pepper

green chilli

cashews

ghee
salt to taste
Instructions
In a pressure cooker, put half the amount of ghee and let it heat up.
Add the rice and moong and fry them for a few minutes.
Now pour the water and salt.
Put the cooker lid and cook the pongal till 3 whistles.
For the tempering, heat the remaining ghee and add the curry leaves, ginger, cumin seeds, green chilli, black pepper and cashews.
Cook for a minute and once the flavours are released, add this tempering to the pongal and stir well.
You can also take out the pongal in the serving in the serving bowl and then temper it and serve hot.
