Pie Time

packet pastry for 9double crust pie

white sugar

all purpose flour

Salt

ground cinnamon

tsp
lemon zest

cups
pears
peeled and sliced

tbsp
butter

tbsp
Lemon juice
Instructions
Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F.
Mix together the sugar, salt, cinnamon and lemon zest.
Line a 9 inch pie pan with half the pastry.
Layer the slices of pears in multiple layers in the crust, alternating each layer with the sugar, salt and cinnamon mixture.
Once the pie crust is full, place the top half of the crust and flute the edges.
Cut slits in the top crust and bake for ten minutes.
Then, reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F and bake until the crust is golden, for 35-40 minutes.
Take the pie out of the oven and allow it to cool.
Serve.
