Ingredients

cup
split black lentils soaked in water for 2 hours
1
tbsp
chopped Green chillies
optional

Whole Pepper
optional

Curry Leaves

tsp
grated ginger
salt to taste
oil for frying
Instructions
Drain the lentils and put it into a blender along with green chillies, pepper, curry leaves and ginger and a little water.
Blend till you get a batter but it should not be too thin.
Mix in the salt and then equal sized vadas out of the batter making a whole in the center of each one.
Heat oil in a wok and fry the wadas in batches.
Once the wada develops a golden brown colour, remove it from the oil onto a kitchen towel to drain excess oil.
Serve the wadas hot with coconut chutney.
