Ingredients

tablespoon
chili powder

teaspoons
ground cumin
2
teaspoons
dried oregano
2
teaspoons
Salt
or more, to taste

ground black pepper
4
pound
pork shoulder excess fat trimmed
4
cloves
garlic peeled
2
onions quartered
2
oranges juiced
2
limes juiced
Instructions
in a bowl add chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper.
Season the pork with the spice mixture.
Nicely rub it in on all sides
In a cooker add garlic, onions, orange juice, lime juice and the seasoned pork shoulder into a slow cooker
Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
Remove the pork from the cooker and shred the pork.
Season with salt and pepper to taste if needed. Add the rest of the juice and return to the pot
Cover and keep warm for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to broil.
Place the carnitas into a baking sheet and broil until they are crisp and crusted (3-4 minutes)
Serve hot
