Protein Packed Black Chana

black chickpeas

Instructions
Wash the kala chana and then soak them overnight
Add the six cups of water to the chana and one teaspoon of salt and boul it for 25 minutes.
Strain the chana
Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the cumin seeds until they begin to splutter.
Add the chana to the pan and mix well.
Add the ginger and green chili and continue to sauté the mix on a low flame.
Add all the other ingredients, except for the lemon and coriander leaves, and stir well.
Keep stirring the chana for a minute until it is completely coated in the masala.
Remove from the pan, and garnish the chana with the chopped coriander leaves.
Serve with slices of lemon.
Recipe Notes
Serve with puris, rice or simply eat it alone as a snack.
