Ingredients

tumbler of Grated Coconut
Thuruviya Thengaai

tumbler of Mashed Jaggery
Vellam

powdered cardamom or elakkai

tumbler of Milk

Poppy seeds

tablespoon
Rice
Instructions
Take a bowl of water and add the rice and poppy seeds and let it soak for about half an hour.
In a vessel, add the milk and boil till it froths up. Once it does, switch off flame and keep it aside for cooling.
Take a mixie or blender and add the grated coconut.
Also add the soaked poppy seeds and rice with the water.
Additionally add 1 more tumbler of water.
Blend well until fine.
Place a heavy bottomed pan or vessel on medium flame on a stove.
Now, add the blended mixture.
Add the mashed jaggery
Boil for 10 minutes.
Switch off the flame.
Add cardamom powder
Add milk and mix well
