Vegetable Hong Kong Style with Steamed Rice

Ingredients

steamed chinese rice
2 1/4
cups
parboiled mixed vegetable cubes

capsicum
cut into big pieces

Ginger
finely chopped

garlic
finely chopped
3
whole dry kashmiri red chillies
broken into pieces

soy sauce

Vinegar

chilli sauce

clear vegetable stock or water

Cornflour
pinch
aof sugar

Oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder
to taste
Instructions
Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan on a high flame. Add the vegetables, ginger, garlic, red chillies and stir fry over a high flame for 2 minutes.
Add the soya sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce, salt and pepper.
Mix the stock and cornflour, add to the mixture and cook for 1 minute. Add the sugar.
Top with the steamed rice and serve hot.
