It’s a Wrap!
A recipe for tasty, healthy lettuce wraps that are super simple to throw together!
Ingredients

avocado oil

scallions
thinly sliced

red chile
thinly sliced

Fresh Basil Leaves
rolled and thinly sliced

carrots
peeled and julienned
4
tbsp
fresh lime juice
9
garlic cloves
thinly sliced

ounces
water chestnuts
chopped
1 3/4
pounds
ground beef*

Salt

tsp
black pepper
2 1/2
tbsp
soy sauce
1 1/2
tbsp
fish sauce
1/2
tbsp
coconut palm sugar
leaves
Lettucefor serving
Instructions
Whisk half of the fish sauce, the soy sauce and sugar together until the sugar dissolves.
Combine the red chiles, 2 cups of basil, carrots, lime juice, one tablespoon of the avocado oil and a little salt together.
Refrigerate this mixture.
Heat the remaining oil and sauté the garlic and red chile for 30 seconds.
Add the chopped water chestnuts and sauté.
Add the beef and salt and sauté for ten minutes.
Remove the bean, strain and then put it back in the pan over high heat.
Add the basil leaves and remaining fish sauce and sauté until the basil leaves wilt.
Take the beef of the stove, put into a serving bowl and serve with the lettuce leaves and carrot slaw.
