Feasts Ahead: Cellar Door Hospitality Will Be Launching Small Plates Week In Mumbai
The folks behind Restaurant Week India, Dine Fest and Chef’s Table Week have done it again; Cellar Door Hospitality is now launching Small Plates Week in Mumbai next week. Small Plates Week will see 15 popular casual-dining restaurants and gastro pubs across the city serving small plates of dishes on a set menu. The set menus include six vegetarian, six non-vegetarian dishes and four desserts; all of which a diner can enjoy unlimited portions of for Rs.1000 (excluding taxes).
The items on the menu will include the restaurant’s signature dishes as well as best selling dishes. “The idea was to give diners unlimited portions of a wide variety of dishes, as opposed to a three-course menu that is common to Dine Fest and Restaurant Week India,” said Mangal Dalal, the co-founder of Cellar Door Hospitality to The Daily Pao.
The Restaurants
Diners can enjoy meals at Worli’s AKA, Lower PArel’s Aqaba and Lower Parel’s Cafe Zoe. They can also try 29 at Kemp’s Corner which serves fare from 29 states in India, Burma Burma, which serves a range of Asian dishes and Mia Cucina best known for its Italian fare and cheesecakes.
Also on the menu are Trikaya, Mamagoto, a quirky Asian eatery, Chemistry 101 and The Fatty Bao which has delighted the city’s gourmands with its sumptuous baos and innovative cocktails – read more on The Fatty Bao here!
If you’ve not visited it yet, use Small Plates Week as an opportunity to enjoy Parsi and Irani food at SodaBottleOpenerWala. Monkey Bar, a fun upbeat bar with exciting cocktails and delicious eats is also on the list, as is Eat Thai which – you guessed it – is known for its Thai classics. Finally, diners can enjoy a visit to Colaba’s Cafe Zoe and Andheri’s Boveda Bistro.
