Chef Sanjeev Kapoor And Team Get A Ticket To Cook For Prime Minister Modi
Top Indian chef, host and author Sanjeev Kapoor was flown into the UAE specially to construct a delicious all vegetarian meal for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was visiting the UAE to discuss investment opportunities for infrastructure projects in India.
The dinner was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) that controls the $800 billion sovereign wealth fund of the UAE. Thanks to Chef Kapoor’s Twitter handle, we know exactly what was on the menu last night.

Indeed, through the menu, we see the careful amount of consideration that went into the feast. “Cooking for PM Modi takes the cake!” said Kapoor in a TOI interview regarding his creation of exclusive dishes for PM Modi’s West Asia visit. “While creating a luxury dining experience, our focus has been on his (PM Modi’s) comfort cuisine, which is home-style Gujarati food – plus a little touch of humour. The theme is Indo-Emarati — there’ll be huge selections of vegetarian mezze and farsaan on one table to share the deliciousness of both great nations. We have many culinary similarities — in fact, Arabic cuisine has a lot of vegetarian options, so integration results in a beautiful feast,” Kapoor said in the interview.
