Farm2Fam Brings Microgreens To The Doorstep In Mumbai
Microgreens are all the rage especially when people are realising their nutritional value. Making these accessible to the city of Mumbai, Farm2Fam is a company that delivers microgreens to the doorstep of the consumer. A statement from the company reveals that growing these vegetables in a combination of traditional Indian agriculture and technologies like insulation and automation. The statement also reveals that these contain 40 times more nutrition than vegetables that are fully grown.

“Over the time, I realized that there is much on-going climatic deterioration and never changing human habits pop up,” said Keya Salot, Founder of Farm2Fam at the launch. “With the changing environment, micro-greens are the best substitute for healthy food because it’s a perfect blend of taste and nutrition. I started working on sustainable urban agriculture with several industry experts to propagate and set up a system for nurturing healthy living. It is my endeavour to make these micro-greens in every household through Farm2Fam so that people do not suffer from lack of micro-nutrients.”
The company, Farm2Fam offers 30 flavours of microgreens which include Swiss chard, Alfalfa, Nasturtium, Purple Kohlrabi, Sango Radish and Sunflower. The company also mentions that their spicy flavoured Pink Radish and mildly sweet Kale Micros contain antioxidants and help in detoxification. The company also claims that it doesn’t use any genetically modified seeds for growing the greens. Currently, the company is in collaboration with Four Seasons, ITC, Illuminati and Taj Lands’ End along with Chef Vicky Ratnani, health coach, Luke Coutinho, nutritionist Pooja Makhija and many more.
