Feeding India & India Gate Basmati Rice On A Mission To Eradicate Food Wastage & Hunger
In a joint effort to minimize food wastage and eradicate hunger and malnutrition in India, Feeding India, a not-for-profit initiative by Zomato, has partnered with India Gate Basmati Rice, India’s leading brand of Basmati Rice.
As a food partner with Feeding India, India Gate is donating good quality grains and rice for the meals. These meals are then collected, checked, transported and donated by Feeding India to people in need. The current donation drive is taking place at the shelter home in Nizammudin for the women and children observing the holy month of Ramadan. On the occasion of Eid, Feeding India and India Gate will be serving biryani in the shelter.
“We are delighted to partner with India Gate to strengthen our mission of eradicating hunger and food wastage (#ZeroHunger) in the country and work together to make a difference in the lives of many who sleep hungry every night. This Eid’s target is to serve more than two lakh nutritious meals. We are looking forward to serving biryani and celebrating Eid differently this year”, said Ankit Kawatra, Founder, Feeding India.
As a part of the partnership, India Gate has produced a heartwarming social media video with a message of ‘let’s make a promise that no one has to sleep hungry’.
