Gelatos, Sorbets, Sugarfree Ice Cream, Sundaes & More Mama Mia! Has Got Them All
We all scream for ice cream (except Ross Geller, who is definitely a psychopath), so we were super excited to hear that Mama Mia had opened up a second outlet in Kumara Park! With cozy, wooden interiors (and ice cream, hello) Mama Mia is the perfect place to hang out with the gang (cheat day, every day).
Ever since the black food trend made its way around Bangalore we’ve been treated to the good, the bad, and the ugly” activated charcoal dishes so we couldn’t wait to see just how the Stardust Vanilla matched up. Apart from being majorly Instagrammable, we actually enjoyed that we could taste vanilla along with the activated charcoal – thumbs up!
We also especially enjoyed the sorbets, which are a more fat-free option you could try if you’re trying to shed a few kilos but you still wanna treat yo’self! The blueberry flavor was super fruity and refreshing while the lemon sorbet was super tart and fresh!
Fun fact, the young owners of Mama Mia!, Adhiraj Thirani and Akshat Singhania told us that the ice cream here has, on average 50% less fat than regular ice cream! So, you can binge-eat without worrying about piling on the pounds (my interpretation of that statement). You can’t go wrong with any of the chocolate flavored gelatos, but we particularly enjoyed the bitter hues of the Belgian Dark Chocolate as well as the whisky tones of the Black Label Chocolate (a marriage of two of my favorite things).
If you’re feeling a bit extra, try out one of their massive ice cream sundaes. We were partial to the Rocher Rocker Sundae and the Mint and Oreo Sundae (why does everyone hate on mint chocolate chip ice cream). If you feel like you need a bit of a break from the sweet, this Mama Mia! does peri peri fries, and potato wedges so you can get back to more sweet ASAP.
You’d be missing out big time if you didn’t try one of their thick gelato shakes, blended with all the gelato you’d ever want! The best part is that your cheat meal won’t burn a hole in your pocket with the prices being pretty reasonable. If you’re looking for a great gelato place, with good vibes, great ambiance, and (most importantly) creamy delicious ice cream you can’t go wrong with Mama Mia!
