iOS Users Can Now Use Shake Shack’s App To Place Orders
This year, major food companies have been going all out to make sure their customers don’t have to wait in line for their grub. Amazon announced that it is working on technology that will allow customers in stores to simply scan their items through their phones, pay online and walk out. Starbucks launched an app which will allow you to place your coffee order before reaching your nearest outlet. Now, Shake Shack has launched a mobile app which will similarly allow customers to place their orders and pay for their meals before actually entering the stores.
The Shack App
Shack Shack has been testing the app in Manhattan over the last few months and has now rolled it out to Connecticut, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Washington, D.C. as well as New York City.
Through the app, customers can select any of Shake Shack’s menu items (with the exception of the chain’s frozen ‘concrete’ custard), choose the outlet they want to pick their order up from and then pay for it online. On arriving at the selected store, they’ll find their order ready to go.
However, each customer can only order four menu items at a time. Additionally, it is only available for iOS users, but Shake Shack has reportedly stated that an Android version will be rolled out soon.
Shake Shack is known for its burgers, hot dogs, fries and frozen custard.
