Priyanka Chopra’s Met Gala Look: Statement or Pizza Base? #POLL

on

Up till now most of us had only heard or read about one of New York City’s highly coveted Met Gala. But this year Indians took extra interest in the event as our token “brown girl” in Hollywood, a.k.a. Priyanka Chopra, attended the event, and how! The Quantico actress has already established that she is indeed the queen of awesome, but she went ahead to reiterate it gliding flawlessly through the gala in a fawn Ralph Lauren trench coat dress with a train that could put the most gorgeous of gowns to shame. Such was its volume that PC had dedicated help to make sure her train looked “on fleek” during photo ops.

But where there is a fashion statement, there are people who look at the OTT side of the design and come up with the canniest of jokes. And here’s the deal, they are so on point that they are actually funny! 2015 saw singer Rihanna’s canary yellow Met Gala gown photo shopped into a pizza, and this year it was Chopra’s designer train that was the crust of all pizza jokes. Take a look below, we bet you can’t un-see it!

Sorry Olivia Mears, your pizza dress may just have gotten sidelined!

And it wasn’t only pizza that the gorgeous brown trench was compared to, Twitteratis were at their humorous (and creative) best to point out similarities between PC’s dress and everyday food and drinks. This guy, for example, who hates the thick layer of fat on his filter coffee.

Or this totally apeeling take on the Ralph Lauren number!

Basically, whether you wear Ralph Lauren or not, being a diva can take a T(r)oll on you! But what do you think? Was Priyanka Chopra’s dress a fashion statement or simply a whole wheat pizza base? Vote below!
