Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef*
- 2 medium russet potatoes
- 2 oninions finely chopped
- 2 carrots chopped
- salt and black pepper
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cups butter chopped

Instructions
- Heat an oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix the beef, potatoes, onions, salt and pepper to taste and carrots together.
- Mix together the flour and a teaspoon of salt.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture becomes coarse and mealy.
- Stir in 2/3 cups of ice water and work with your hands until a dough is formed.
- Shape the dough into 4 disks. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Place the beef mixture onto the disks and gather together the discs edges and press together.
- Bake the pastries until golden brown - approximately 10 minutes.
