8 Pup-sicles You Can Make For Your Pooch!

on

Have you ever Google searched for “How to keep it cool in the pooch neighbourhood?” Yes you have, I’m looking at your dog owners. Picky eating is often observed only in humans. The reluctance to experiment with food, a borderline disorder known as “Food Neophobia”. This however does not apply to canines. They aren’t fussy and are always game for that gastronomical exploration. You know that’s true because they’ve willingly demolished your shoes when you weren’t looking. It doesn’t stop there. They’ve nibbled your furniture, the internet cable, and insects or in dog speak “unwelcome visitors”. However not all types of food are healthy for dogs. It is necessary to consult your veterinarian before you go forth and feed them. Make sure you start out with small portions and see if it triggers any form of allergic reaction. You can slowly expand your portions later on.

Moving from food to frozen food, here are a list of popsicles you can make for your most reliable animal guardian. You can get creative with this frozen snack but make sure the ingredients you use will not inflict any harm on your pooches. You can use fruits or treats suspended in water, watered down wet food, favourite frozen vegetables or even iced chicken broth on a stick (Pooches Choice)! They are readily available but the preservatives and colour additives might be toxic to dogs, so an alternative to the store-bought ice pops is making them at home using blended fruit juice, drink mix, or any freezable beverage. A classic method involves using ice cube trays and toothpicks, although various ice pop freezer moulds are also available.
