SMOKE HOUSE DELI
there are just so many places i wana go to whenever i am in saket…that it always gets difficult for me to choose one…but seeing the great pics and reviews of smoke house deli, i really didn’t think twice before finalizing this awesome place for my boyfriend’s pre-birthday brunch….and must i say i am really proud of my decision cuz both of us enjoyed every bit of out time here…..be it the ambiance or the food…everything was top notch and impressed me greatly…!!!
ambiance:
this place is located on the 1st floor of DLF Place, Saket, opposite hard rock cafe….and trust me when i say this…a mere glance at this place will tempt you to dine in here…..they offer indoor sitting along with a small sitting outside the restaurant, where once can sit and be a part of the mall while enjoying a sip of their drink…the insides are very well done…quite chic looking furniture with both sofa, with cute cushions and chair sitting…beautiful lamps hanging above, an orchid on each table,,,,and interesting looking hand painted walls which unfolds a story in itself….i fell in love with the look
service:
the service was quick and efficient, the staff was really friendly and made sure they fulfill all our needs….and the best bit was no waiter hovered our table so we enjoyed our privacy…
food:
the hero of the entire journey….
well when we sat and were busy deciding our order…they served us with a bag full of breads…which was a nice gesture on their part…after munching on a few soup sticks and rolls we finally decided our menu…so we had the following:
good old eggs benedict: now the 1st thing…it looked spectacular and fulfilling…2nd thing….it wasn’t the “good old” eggs benedict.. as in it wasn’t the traditional eggs benedict i have had at several other places, instead of an english muffin they had their own house made bread, and it was accompanied with grilled tomato and hash brown….inspite of the lil twist it tasted really good,,,,especially the hash brown…loved it,…though the only thing i found lacking was the hollandaise sauce….i wanted more of it…!!!
along with it a side of grilled chicken sausage: cocktail sausages slightly grilled with a dash of vinegar…really soft and succulent sausages with a slight sweet and tangy dash….
pulled roast chicken & bearnaise burger: oh my what a burger…absolutely loved it….it was serves with crisp and spicy finger chips served in a mug….the burger had pulled roasted chicken,…which was chunky and so yummy along with melted cheese…topped with crispy onion rings….absolutely loved it!!
to gulp it down we ordered the following shakes:
strawberry cheese cake: well i was a bit hesitant in ordering this one….as i am not a big fan of strawberry but it came highly recommended so thought of giving it a try and i did not regret it…..the shake was not too sweet which i doubted it would be and was served with a strawberry stick and topped with whipped cream…it was great
peanut butter frappe: again this drink was topped with whipped cream and the shake in itself was full of flavor and texture…sweet and salty with very tiny bits of peanut added to the texture…
and though our tummies were extremely full…but me having a sweet tooth couldn’t resist ordering a dessert:
bitter chocolate & orange ganache torte: the perfect dessert to end the great food tasting..the dough was stiff yet very moist …the bitter chocolate tasted amazing with the zing of the orange zest and juice…loved it!!!
all in all i had a lovely time there and enjoyed to the fullest….it was the perfect brunch i hoped for…out total bill came to be 1800 bucks(inclusive of tips and taxes) which is well worth every penny….would definitely recommend it….and well off course would come back to try other dishes…
they exell in everything be it the service, ambiance, presentation or the taste and i can say that cuz well i stole a few glances of the food at nearby tables and well all of it looked tempting and yummy!!
