ITDC Organises Women Empowerment Session For Its Senior Female Executives
India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector undertaking today organised an in-house training for senior women executives, with the overarching theme – Gateway to Empowerment & Tenacity – Women Power. In the event, the establishment arranged for a session through its Human Resource Development division- Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (AIH&TM), at Hotel Samrat.
Inaugurated by Mr. Piyush Tiwari, Officiating Chairperson & Managing Director (C&MD) & Director Commercial Marketing (DCM), ITDC and Mr Rajiv Anand, Principal, AIH&TM, & GM HRD, ITDC, this one-of-a-kind session was attended by more than fifty female employees of the Delhi-based units/division of ITDC. The training was conducted by Ms. Pallavi Katoch, a renowned facilitator from Times Professional Learning.
Sharing his experience, Mr.Piyush Tiwari, Officiating Chairperson & Managing Director (C&MD) & DCM, ITDC said, “These training sessions, specifically designed to empower our women workforce, shall prove to be beneficial for the organisation. I feel, women are the real architects of the society. With the theme of women power, this session has aimed to raise self-awareness & self-discovery among our female executives.”
The session by AIH&TM aimed towards empowering women employees through self-discovery. Participants took along tangible tools that are bound to help them in life. The training was designed to empower the existing and future women leaders. Various aspects of it involved sessions on self-awareness, stepping boundaries & ways to boost self-confidence, targeting to make women self-aware, one with themselves, be confident and feel empowered.
This one-day workshop was tailor-made to enable women leaders embark on a journey, that starts from within and to strengthen to the core the skills of effective people. Observing the success, the Corporation is now planning a series of such activities for the well-being of its employees throughout the year.
