To honour the rich heritage of one of Asia’s and longest roads, Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield presents the Grand Trunk Road food festival. Aimed at capturing the diverse and rich culture of Grand Trunk road by taking patrons on the trail of the specialties of every city.
Rebuilt by Sher Shah Suri, the Grand Trunk Road is one of Asia’s oldest and longest highways spanning across an impressive 2,500 km running through the parts of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Discerning foodies savour the flavours and authentic dishes from the gastronomic regions like Kabul, Amritsar, Delhi and Kolkata. The food trail on the oldest and historic GT Road will offer patrons signatures including delicately spiced dishes like Mattar kulcha, Kaanpuri tikki, Mathura aloo kachori and kebabs like; Tawa gurde Kapoor, Subz khusrang kebab and sandle kebab find their way alongside live counters- Litti choka counter, Aagra chaat bhandaar, Parantha gali station and Chops station to mention just a few.
